A teenager involved in county lines drug dealing in Redditch was apprehended by police after a dramatic escape attempt through a Sainsbury’s car park. Harvey Peach, residing in Upper Fields Close, was observed dealing drugs from his Ford Fiesta during a law enforcement operation targeted at drug dealing activities associated with the ‘Emz’ County Line.
When authorities attempted to intercept him, the 18-year-old fled through Sainsbury’s car park and abandoned his vehicle, which was subsequently found to contain a large hunting knife and incriminating evidence of cocaine and heroin distribution on his mobile phone. Peach was soon apprehended and charged.
Following a trial at Worcester Crown Court, Peach was convicted of multiple offenses including drug supply, possession of an offensive weapon, possession of criminal proceeds, and evading arrest. He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison, comprising 26 months for the drug and driving offenses, and an additional four months for the weapon possession. In addition, he was ordered to pay £1,125 in fines.

Detective Constable David Laver of West Mercia Police emphasized the significance of the sentence as a deterrent to others involved in drug-related activities and urged the community to collaborate in addressing drug crimes.
