Kaleb Cooper Criticizes BBC’s Countryfile Over Badger Segment

A recent segment on BBC’s Countryfile featuring badgers has stirred criticism from both Jeremy Clarkson and his Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper. The episode showcased home videos of various creatures enjoying manmade habitats and treats left out by viewers. John Craven and Sammi Kinghorn fronted the show and narrated the segment.

Clarkson, who has previously shared his frustration regarding the impact of badgers on farms, took to Instagram to express his dismay, simply writing “FFS” alongside the clip. Kaleb Cooper joined in, leaving a comment that read, “Just thinking the same,” accompanied by two facepalm emojis.

The young farmer recently faced a setback as he disclosed the need for testing his cows, dealing with issues resulting from bovine tuberculosis (TB). This revelation followed a previous emotional moment where he shared his distress over the situation and expressed solidarity with others experiencing similar challenges.

Clarkson’s past comments on badgers have generated controversy, with the Badger Trust accusing an episode of his farming show of unfairly depicting the animals. The Trust emphasized the need to protect badgers and urged people to speak up for them, asserting that cows, not badgers, are the primary spreaders of bovine tuberculosis.

Peter Hambly, executive director of Badger Trust, highlighted the current threats to badgers and called for support in safeguarding these animals and the natural environment.
