Kaleb Cooper and Jeremy Clarkson Criticize Countryfile for Badger Segment

Both Kaleb Cooper and Jeremy Clarkson have taken a dig at BBC’s Countryfile after a segment on the show showcased badgers. Hosted by John Craven and Sammi Kinghorn, the recent episode included footage of animals enjoying manmade habitats and treats left out by viewers.

Clarkson, who has previously expressed frustration about the impact badgers can have on farms, shared the clip on his Instagram with a simple “FFS” caption. His Clarkson’s Farm co-star Kaleb Cooper also seemed unimpressed, commenting: “Just thinking the same,” along with two facepalm emojis.

Cooper, a young farmer, recently shared a heartbreaking setback with his followers. His cows, already dealing with issues caused by bovine tuberculosis (TB), had to undergo testing once again. Bovine TB, a respiratory disease, can be transmitted through various means such as nose-to-nose contact, saliva, urine, faeces, and milk.

Clarkson’s previous comments on badgers have stirred controversy, with the Badger Trust condemning his farming show for demonizing the animals. A statement from the trust emphasized that bovine TB outbreaks are primarily caused by cows and farmers, not badgers.

Peter Hambly, executive director of Badger Trust, called for support to protect badgers and preserve wildlife.
